The Silicon Valley Black Chamber of Commerce (SVBCC) and it’s 501 c (3) foundation, the Silicon Valley Center for Entrepreneurial Development (SVCED) work together to achieve each other’s goal of increasing the number of successful small businesses, especially minority & African American businesses, in Silicon Valley while developing a pipe-line of future entrepreneurs through better education and training.
For nearly 25 years, SVBCC and SVCED have encouraged and equipped hundreds of small minority businesses and those looking to start businesses with turbo charged programs to be competitive in this now global landscape.

NCBW, Silicon Valley Chapter serves as an advocacy organization focused on the empowerment of women of African descent through programs that meet their diverse needs in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. The Chapter was chartered on April 4, 1996.
The Chapter founded the P:SMT Sponsorship Program (Pathfinder: Science, Mathematics, and Technology) in 2000 for students to gain access and exposure to STEM in Silicon Valley. Our members also advocate on behalf of women’s health issues, education, and political awareness. The Chapter collaborates with other community organizations to develop inclusive projects that benefit the community.
The Silicon Valley Chapter is a tax-exempt organization, receiving support from local corporations, foundations, and federal agencies. In addition, a substantial portion of the annual budget is received from membership dues and fundraising efforts.
Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a nationwide African-American organization of mothers who nurture future leaders by strengthening children ages 2-19 through chapter programming, community service, legislative advocacy and philanthropic giving.
Jack and Jill is comprised of over 225 chapters in seven geographic regions, encompassing 35 states and the District of Columbia.
The San Jose Chapter was first established in 1967 as the San Jose Mother’s Club of Jack and Jill, Inc. Our Chapter was formally approved at the National Jack and Jill Convention in July, 1968, and became the 12th chapter in the Far West Region.
There are over 40 mother-members and Associates of the San Jose Chapter, dedicated to building future African-American leaders. We emphasize the importance of family and extended family relationships, black history, community service, legislative advocacy and philanthropic giving.
We seek for ALL children the same advantages we desire for our own, and believe every child, with proper guidance and opportunity, can be a leader.
The African American Community Service Agency (AACSA), founded in 1978, is one of the only African American cultural centers in the Silicon Valley. Our mission: providing quality educational, cultural, social and recreational programs, services and activities in order to perpetuate and strengthen African American identity, culture, values, traditions, knowledge and family life, is at the heart of all programs. AACSA's membership is open to everyone, regardless of race, religion, age or disability. The Agency's diverse activities and services offer a natural gateway to African American life.
