Founded in July 1996 by dedicated Chinese American trailblazers including C.C. Yin, David Wang, Dr. William Chan, and others, the Chinese American Association of Solano County has spent nearly three decades building bridges between cultures and strengthening the Vacaville, CA community. CAASC's mission centers on promoting advancement, betterment, and friendship among its members, the Chinese American community, and the broader local population. What sets CAASC apart is its unwavering commitment to tangible community impact—the organization has distributed over $237,000 in scholarships to more than 200 deserving students while maintaining strong cultural and educational programming year-round. Beyond scholarship support, CAASC demonstrates its values through active participation in local celebrations, community service initiatives, and cultural preservation efforts. The organization has led international cultural exchanges, including a 2007 trip where 26 members visited seven cities in mainland China to strengthen community bonds. During the COVID-19 pandemic, CAASC stepped forward to donate personal protective equipment to frontline workers across the Bay Area, Sacramento, and beyond, exemplifying its commitment to community care. The organization's leadership has evolved over decades, with past presidents representing diverse backgrounds and perspectives. CAASC serves as a gathering place where members build meaningful relationships while working toward shared goals of cultural awareness, educational advancement, and community service. For those seeking to connect with a vibrant, purpose-driven organization rooted in Vacaville's Chinese American heritage, CAASC welcomes participation in monthly meetings, cultural events, and scholarship initiatives that reflect the values of its founders and the aspirations of the community it serves.
