Founded in 1921 in the San Francisco Bay Area and now headquartered in Walnut Creek, CA, Queen's Bench Bar Association represents over a century of advocacy, leadership, and professional community building. The organization was established by visionary women lawyers frustrated by male-dominated bar associations, and this pioneering spirit continues to inspire the organization's mission today. Queen's Bench fosters professional and social relationships among women lawyers while promoting equality and opportunity for all women through education, programs, and community outreach. As a non-profit voluntary membership organization composed of attorneys, judges, and law students, Queen's Bench has built a legacy of standing up for equal rights and equal opportunity. Members consistently report that Queen's Bench provides invaluable professional connections, exposure, and opportunities, with many forming lifelong friendships through the organization. The organization plays an integral part in furthering the progress of women in the legal profession by creating spaces where women lawyers can network, mentor one another, and collaborate on issues affecting women in law and society. Queen's Bench welcomes all members of the legal profession and law students who share the commitment to equal rights and equal opportunity. The organization's sister entity, the Queens Bench Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides education, conducts research, and disseminates information regarding the defense of human and civil rights secured under the law, extending the organization's impact beyond professional networking into broader civil rights advocacy.
