Poema Abierto is Washington, DC’s first and only Spanish-language open mic — a space where Latin American voices take center stage through poetry, song, and storytelling. Founded in September 2023, this monthly gathering is held every first Sunday from 7–9PM at the beloved community arts space BloomBars in Columbia Heights.
Whether you're an artist, a newcomer, or just looking to reconnect with Spanish in all its beauty, Poema Abierto invites you into a warm and welcoming room full of rhythm, memory, and voice.
