• Support Irish companies who want to find and access new markets and help with resolving commercial difficulties where possible;
• Provide general advice on doing business locally and, through our network of contacts, pursue export and investment opportunities that will benefit Ireland;
• Work to secure market access for Irish products in key sectors in high-growth and emerging markets.
The Embassy, Ireland’s Consulates and Irish Honorary Consuls also help to provide consular assistance to Irish citizens who need it while travelling in the United States.
The Irish Network DC serves as the heart of the diverse Irish and Irish-American community in Washington, D.C. We embrace all connections to Ireland and serve as a conduit to collaboration between our communities both in Ireland and the United States.
In January 2010, with the support of Ambassador Michael Collins and Embassy of Ireland, the Irish Network DC was founded. The chapter was incorporated under the non-profit laws of the District of Columbia in June 2010. From the outset, IN-DC aimed to hold cultural, educational, social and philanthropic events and grew with healthy membership. In 2012, the Internal Revenue Service granted IN-DC 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. With this designation, IN-DC must retain its neutral stance on political issues and we see this as a strength for civil and unbiased discussion.
The Irish American Club of Washington DC has been in existence for over 60 years. Our mission is to promote, preserve, and celebrate our Irish heritage in America.
The Irish American Unity Conference is a nationwide, nonpartisan, nonsectarian, chapter-based human rights organization working for justice and peace in Ireland. We are an American 501c(4) organization which advocates the end of British colonial occupation and the peaceful reunification of Ireland. We endeavor to achieve these goals by working through the American democratic process. Individually, our members represent every occupational and educational stratum in the United States.
We work to educate the American public in general and decision makers in particular about human and civil rights abuses in Northern Ireland. We sponsor forums, seminars, video presentations and nationwide speaking tours by internationally recognized individuals. We disseminate information and foster involvement in the political process via the Internet. We sponsor trips by Members of Congress to Ireland to investigate first-hand the causes of injustice there. Through coordination with our National Board, our members advocate for and participate in congressional hearings on important human and civil rights issues. We assess and analyze printed news reports on Ireland and encourage activists to challenge inaccurate and biased reporting.
The mission of the Irish American Unity Conference is to bring all Irish, Irish Americans and others together on the basis of their common belief in Justice and Peace in a reunited Ireland. We acknowledge and accede to the right of all the Irish people to self-determination and are fully confident that given the opportunity, they will choose to live, respectful of the human and civil rights of all, in a sovereign and independent nation free of domination by Britain.
