BloomBars Presents “Poema Abierto” Span-ish Open Mic 🎙📝A new space to share poetry in Spanish whether you are a writer yourself or have a poem you want to bring to the stage! Every 1st Sunday of the month @BloomBars in Columbia Heights. Hosted by Camilo Montoya, a Nicaraguan writer and spoken word artist, raised in Silver Spring, MD. There is also a musical feature performer or band. Camilo is best known in the DMV area for his 2020 performances at The Kennedy Center and Strathmore. With his group "Camilo y Los Locos", he composes and performs musicalized poetry covering topics around immigration, identity and latinidad with musical influences ranging from cumbia, rock, and Latin-jazz.
