The American Association of Jewish Lawyers & Jurists (AAJLJ) is the voluntary bar association of American Jewish lawyers. We are a national nonprofit association that represents the American Jewish legal community in regard to legal issues that affect, and are of importance to, the community, including; freedom of religion, civil rights, human rights, access to justice, social justice, and defense of the rule of law. The Association also represents and defends the interests of the State of Israel in regard to legal matters such as the BDS movement, and by providing opportunities for American lawyers to better understand the Israeli justice system and the strength of the rule of law in Israel.
The American Association of Jewish Lawyers & Jurists (AAJLJ) is a national nonprofit association representing the American Jewish legal community. We bring our community together to defend Jewish interests and human rights in the United States and abroad.
As a voluntary bar association, we engage with legal issues that have an impact on the Jewish and broader world through the lens of Jewish values and tradition. The AAJLJ educates and advocates around critical issues such as: civil rights, human rights, access to justice, social justice, Israel and the Rule of Law, Holocaust issues, and Jewish Law. Through its members, the AAJLJ provides legal support to safeguard human rights. In addition, the AAJLJ works to combat those who attempt to use “lawfare” to stigmatize and delegitimize the State of Israel.
Nowhere to go on Christmas Eve? Celebrate being Jewish with other young adults while the rest of the city is closed.
Join us for the best place to hang with friends and meet Jews on Christmas Eve! The party starts at 9pm on Wesnesday, December 24 at Public Bar in Dupont Circle. We'll be spinning beats all night, drink specials + heavy snacks (including bagels, of course!), and there will be tons of people to mingle with.
We'll have a quieter area with board games and card games on the second level on the bar if you're looking for a break from the dancing.
Admission includes a free drink ticket if you arrive before 10PM.
This event is organized by lay community leaders. While the event is priced to cover our costs, any profits will be re-invested into the DMV community.
