Founded on July 30, 2007, PFLAG Melbourne Space Coast emerged from the vision of two dedicated individuals who recognized a critical need for support within the Brevard County community. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a thriving chapter that serves as a loving foundation for LGBTQ+ people, their families, and allies who stand together in mutual support. The chapter's history reflects a deep commitment to community transformation—from hosting the first LGBTQ+ teen dance in Brevard to pioneering LGBTQ+ representation in local parades and celebrations. PFLAG Melbourne Space Coast believes in the power of family, whether biological or chosen, and creates spaces where people can find acceptance, understanding, and advocacy.
