The South Florida Board of Realtist (SFBOR) is the local chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB). Shirlyon is the owner and lead attorney at McWhorter Law, PLLC where Estate Planning and Probate Administration are the sole practice areas.
After graduating from the University of Florida College of Law, Shirlyon began her career as an Assistant State Attorney where she tried more than one hundred judge and jury trials. During her time as a Prosecutor, she developed skills as a litigator and a tough negotiator. Not only does she have experience appearing before judges, but she also served as a judge in the 11th Judicial Circuit.
Prior to founding the firm, Shirlyon served as Assistant General counsel for the Dade County Police Benevolent Association and Director of Civil Rights for Miami-Dade County Schools and Florida International University.
