Founded in December 2018 by Executive Director Chase Norris, Clock, Inc emerged from a powerful conversation with LGBT+ youth who expressed their greatest need: a safe place to belong. What began as a weekly support group has grown into a thriving community center in Rock Island, IL, dedicated to creating spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals can thrive without fear of judgment or discrimination. The organization's mission centers on providing non-judgmental, reliable support that reduces feelings of isolation and discrimination within the LGBT+ community. Clock, Inc's name itself carries symbolic meaning—signifying that it's time to change our views, change our world, and change our community. Since opening its doors in March 2019, the organization has become a beacon of hope for Quad Cities residents, offering not just programming but genuine community connection. The center's impact extends beyond its walls, as evidenced by testimonials from local youth whose lives have been transformed through access to supportive peers, affirming counselors, and empowering community events. Clock, Inc's commitment to inclusivity ensures resources and programming serve all ages, genders, and cultures within the LGBT+ community. By providing consistent location, trained staff, and peer support, Clock, Inc addresses the fundamental human need for belonging and acceptance. The organization represents a grassroots movement toward creating a more affirming Quad Cities region where LGBT+ individuals can authentically present themselves and build meaningful connections with others who understand their journey.
