QQD just got hotter for BIPOC LGBTQ+ adults in Baltimore & DMV--make new connections, go on Mini Dates, and get matched up in person!
Romantic Mini Dates with BIPOC LGBTQIA+ folx in Baltimore & DMV--make new conections and date intentionally! Suggested ages 28-55 for this event.
QQD is Baltimore's original speed dating series to match folx of all LGBTQIA2S+ sexualities and gender expressions in Baltimore who value community since March 2024, invented by commuity organizer and artist, Maria Gabriela Aldana of Art of Solidarity. Once you buy your ticket, complete Maria's match-making questionnaire as part of this dating process. Trust your gut. Put yourself out there! Waiting list opens if event sells out.
Below are the ground rules to participate in QQD (read carefully):
1) Any racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, or ableist behavior will not be tolerated and the person will be banned.
2) No refunds or transfers y'all. Consider upgrading to a VIP ticket!
3) All daters complete a questionnaire designed by Maria ASAP. Give it 2-4 hours. Check your spam folder! You will receive email reminders.
4) Please do not come if you are sick, have flu symptoms, or test positive for COVID-19. You will receive your matches over email to connect and set up dates once you're healthy-- or on your own time.
5) Your email will be shared with a virtual match who was unable to attend due to illness. You are encouraged to share your photo and set up a video chat!
6) Bring a mask. We have daters who need their dates to wear masks. Maria will have extra! If you don't want to, Maria will not match you with those who need this accommodation. You may lose out on connecting with someone very special.
7) Be real. Be yourself. Daters are respectful and open-minded. If you're not feeling someone, maybe say "I'm feeling friendship" directly to them so they don't expect to date you.
8) Arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in and familiarize yourself with your matches. Once dating rounds start, listen to instructions. Based on Maria's pre-matches, find your seat based on a color-coordinated chart. If you're late, you will miss a potential match. Who wants that?!
9) Share your phone number to set up a real date! Have fun! Nervous? We will have a good time!
10) Two drink max recommended!
11) It is not guaranteed that any dates will occur but hope you do go out! Come prepared to make a lot of cool new sexy friends! Ask Maria for advice along the way. ;)

Since 1968, the Baltimore American Indian Center has served as a vital gathering place and resource for American Indian and Alaskan Native families in Baltimore, MD. Founded by Lumbee Tribal Members, BAIC was established with a mission to assist and support Native families adjusting to urban life and the cultural transitions that accompany relocation from tribal territories. What began as a neighborhood hub serving a thriving Native community has evolved into a unique cultural institution that welcomes members from all tribes and nations. The Center honors its historical roots while adapting to meet the changing needs of the Native community, having shifted focus toward cultural heritage preservation and educational initiatives as demographic patterns shifted over the decades. Today, BAIC stands as a safe, dignified space where Native community members can gather, celebrate their identities, and maintain cultural practices that might otherwise be lost in urban environments. The organization's commitment extends beyond the Native community to include education for non-Native residents of Baltimore, MD about the rich and varied cultures of American Indian and Alaskan Native peoples. For the significant portion of Native Americans living outside tribal territories, BAIC provides irreplaceable connection to community, culture, and identity. The Center's welcoming atmosphere and respect-centered approach have made it an indispensable institution in the greater Baltimore area, offering both cultural continuity and community support for generations of Native families.
