After their packed 2025 Minneapolis debut, Ukraine’s legendary Vopli Vidopliassova return on January 15, 2026 for an unforgettable Malanka Night at The Cedar Cultural Center! Celebrate the Ukrainian New Year with VV’s explosive mix of punk, folk, and global grooves. This is part of the band’s epic 40th Anniversary World Tour — and one of the most joyful, high-energy shows of the season. Each Malanka concert includes a charity auction led by Oleg Skrypka himself to support Misto Dobra (City of Goodness) — Ukraine’s largest children’s hospice for war-affected orphans and families.

East-West Connections, formerly known as RABCC, is a community-based organization serving Falcon Heights, Minnesota and beyond with a mission to build bridges of understanding between American citizens and the peoples of Russia, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Baltics. Founded in 1964 by Ukrainian immigrants who established roots in Northeast Minneapolis, the Ukrainian American Community Center has grown into a cornerstone institution that celebrates Ukrainian heritage while supporting community integration and empowerment. What began as a grassroots gathering place for new arrivals evolved into a formal 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2009, reflecting the organization's expanding mission to preserve Ukrainian traditions, history, and culture for future generations. Today, the UACCMN in Minneapolis, MN serves as both a cultural ambassador and a lifeline for refugees and newcomers, embodying the original founders' vision of creating a welcoming community space. The organization's work extends beyond traditional cultural celebrations to encompass humanitarian advocacy, refugee resettlement support, and intercultural bridge-building that strengthens connections between Ukrainian Americans and the broader Minnesota community. Through dynamic programs in folk dance, music, and the arts, the UACCMN builds ethnic pride while contributing to Minnesota's diverse cultural landscape.
