The Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has been a cornerstone of family leadership and community service in Ossining and the Hudson Valley since its founding over 30 years ago. Built on the national organization's 1938 legacy, this chapter embodies a mission centered on developing intentional relationships and fostering lifelong friendships among families committed to nurturing the next generation of African-American leaders.
What distinguishes the Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter is its deep community roots and unwavering commitment to excellence. The chapter's current theme, "Serving in Unity; Rooted in Love," reflects its philosophy that every member—from mothers to children to fathers—deserves the opportunity for a full and beautiful experience within the organization. This inclusive approach has resulted in recognition as a Three-Time Five Star Chapter of Excellence and multiple regional and national awards, including the prestigious 2023 Eastern Region Chapter of the Year designation.
Led by President Dawanna Veneable and her exceptional leadership team, the chapter comprises brilliantly talented women who are recognized leaders in the Ossining and Hudson Valley community. These dedicated mothers are committed to advancing philanthropic giving, legislative advocacy, and cultural enrichment while building a supportive village around their children. The Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter's 30-year history demonstrates a steadfast dedication to the belief that proper guidance and opportunity transform children into leaders. Members experience more than programming—they experience a community of families united in purpose, celebrating growth, and committed to making a positive difference in the Hudson Valley.
