Founded in 1947, the Greater Toledo Realtist Association represents a legacy of equal housing opportunity and community empowerment in Toledo, Ohio. GTRA is a chartered chapter of NAREB, the oldest minority trade association in America, built on the foundational principle that all citizens deserve equal access to housing regardless of race, creed, or color. Our mission centers on enhancing the economic improvement of our members while strengthening the communities we serve throughout the Toledo area. GTRA serves as a unified voice for African Americans, underserved populations, and real estate professionals who share our commitment to housing democracy and dignified treatment for all. Founded in December 1952 by a group of exceptional mothers in Toledo, OH, the Toledo Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. represents over seven decades of dedicated service to families and youth in the community. The organization emerged from a simple yet powerful vision: to bond in service and sisterhood while nurturing children to become the next generation of leaders. What began with Catherine Holland and pioneering members like Katee Martin, Helen Duffy, and Thelma Adams has grown into a vibrant chapter that continues to embody the values of leadership, community responsibility, and familial support. Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a national membership organization of mothers with children ages 2-19, part of a network that now includes more than 230 chapters representing over 40,000 family members across the country. The Toledo Chapter takes pride in its rich history of producing prominent community leaders, including Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman and other accomplished alums who have made significant contributions to their fields.
