APPNA South Texas Chapter represents a group of physicians and friends of Pakistani Medical College Alumni who are living and working in South Texas. This forum provides a portal for physicians and friends from Pakistani descent living in South Texas to connect, share, and network. This is to support each other while continue to serve our neighbors and communities and develop a concrete structure to strengthen our South Texas Chapter.
Our Goals and Objectives
- Build a 'dynamic and interactive' social network of the Pakistani Physicians
- Establish 'social welfare team' to support local and Pakistani charity organizations
- Support 'young Pakistani physicians and medical students' for electives and residency
- Launch a 'youth program' to provide guidance to children of our members
- Promote 'culture, poetry and Urdu'
- Develop 'health awareness program' for Pakistani community
- Establish 'continuing medical education' program and introduce 'medical publication'
- Support STC members to provide CME hours, discount programs and organize social events
APPNA North Texas Chapter is a component society of Association of Physicians of Pakistani descent of North America which is a not for profit 501C3 organization. It fosters scientific development for the development of education & medical research.
Objectives
- To help Pakistani Physicians in the practice of medicine in north Texas area
- To explore the possibility of group benefits in the area of purchasing, insurance etc
- To promote understanding and cooperation among the physicians and dentists of Pakistani origin
- To promote and disseminate current medical information in order to foster and stimulate improvements in all aspects of health care
- To safeguard the interests of physicians in general and Pakistani physicians, in particular, if these are being adversely affected

The oldest registered Pakistani organization in North Texas that has been serving North Texas' Pakistani American community since 1984. PSNT is a non-political and non-profit social organization established to sponsor social, civic, educational, literary, scientific, charitable and religious activities for the benefit of the Pakistani-American community in Texas. PSNT strives to foster a more unified Pakistani community in Texas in which everyone is included regardless of affiliations or differences. PSNT also cooperates with local organizations from other communities. PSNT recognizes that religious, political and cultural differences exist in a society and is working toward making Texas a place where diverse people come together to solve community problems and build bridges. Now, PSNT is headed in a new direction under a new, dynamic leadership. Our team is comprised of professionals from all walks of life who have excelled in their fields and bring a rich and diverse experience to the table. We are working hard to revamp this organization and bring to you not only quality social events but also some much-needed services, especially for the needy and the underprivileged. Fatima Hassan-Salam is licensed in Texas, Michigan, and New Mexico and has more than 28 years of experience in personal injury and criminal law cases.
