TECH23, Houston’s leading Latino science, tech, and culture media company, brings you CRUDO, a six-part bilingual organ dissection lab series hosted at The Health Museum.
CRUDO (Spanish for “raw”), invites Houston’s Latino community to experience real organ dissections led by bilingual MDs and surgeons in a culturally immersive, hands-on environment unlike anything the city has seen before. Designed for adults in a family-friendly environment with Latino vibes, each session places participants in lab coats at dissection tables, scalpels in hand, guided by a bilingual MD. This is not a lecture. It’s a fun and interactive opportunity to learn about the health challenges facing our community while actually holding the respective organ in your hands. Walk away with facts and tips you can share with your loved ones to live a healthier lifestyle.
OJO. It translates light into memory. Color into emotion. A face into recognition. The eye is the only organ in your body that lets the world in, and most people will never know what it actually looks like from the inside. The colors, the layers, the architecture of it, it’s beautiful.

RIÑÓN. Right now, without you asking, your kidneys are filtering your entire blood supply (about every 30 minutes). No bigger than your fist, the kidneys are one of the most hardworking things in your body. One of the least understood, and almost never appreciated until it's too late. That's what we're here to change.

TESTÍCULOS. Latino men are among the least likely to talk about their health. This organ is at the center of that silence. Not anymore. Every father, brother, son, and tío in your life deserves better than a conversation that never happened.
