For 10 incredible years, this event has brought the Houston community together to celebrate culture, sample a variety of foods, and support a vital cause.
We're bringing together chefs from all around the Houston area, old competitors and new, to put their unique, gourmet spin on the classic Vietnamese sandwich. Come and taste how incredible the traditional banh mi can truly become.
At the event, you'll have the opportunity to taste different banh mi creations that you won't find at a regular restaurant, vote for the chef you believe deserves the People's Choice, hear from distinguished judges as they pick their number one, and even bring home some tips to make your own delicious banh mi!

It’s not the typical place for a cookoff, but that’s the magic of it. By bringing Houston's culinary talent into an immersive digital space, we are celebrating food as an art form and culture.
Since it’s our special 10th year hosting the cookoff, we wanted an environment that mirrors the innovation of our competing chefs. They are constantly pushing the boundaries of the classic, delicious Vietnamese sandwich. This pairing allows you to engage all of your senses, moving from a traditional food competition into a cultural experience that connects our heritage with the future of art.
