The North Texas Association of Realtist (NTXAR) is the local chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB). NAREB, founded in 1947, is the oldest and largest minority trade association in America. NTXAR was founded on the principle that all citizens have the right to equal housing opportunities regardless of race, creed or color.
NTXAR was founded in March 2018 as a need to promote “Democracy In Housing” in the Northern Sector of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metropolitan area. NTXAR supports various agencies in North Texas while maintaining an active role in the community by offering scholarships, training, home ownership assistance and counseling to individuals wanting to achieve the dream of homeownership.
Our goal is to bring together minority professionals in the Real Estate industry to promote the meaningful exchange of ideas about our business and how to best serve our clientele. We strive to create an environment where creativity flourishes in both the community and the marketplace of which we serve. Our core objective is to secure the right to equal housing opportunities regardless of race, creed, or color.
To service our target market, we ensure training and educational opportunities are available to our entire membership across the many disciplines we represent, providing certifications and special designations in many areas of interest. Our Theme is “Reimagining the Dream of Homeownership through Advocacy, Activism and Action.” The Dallas Association of Realtists (formerly Dallas Association of Real Estate Brokers, also formerly known as DAREB) was founded in 1956 in Dallas, Texas, by men of wisdom, fortitude, foresight and vision. DAR has fulfilled a vital role in helping to meet the needs for decent housing and its commitment to equal housing for all.
DAR’S focus is to promote and encourage the professional growth and business development opportunities of African American, residential and commercial, real estate professional.
Promotion and development of a comprehensive educational program for members of DAR, and the interchange of ideas and cooperation among real estate professionals.

The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA, Inc.), is a nonprofit membership association dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for black professionals in the accounting, finance and related business professions. Representing more than 200,000 black professionals in these fields, NABA advances people, careers, and the mission by providing education, resources, and meaningful career connections to both professional and student members, fulfilling the principle of our motto: Lifting As We Climb.

The J.L. Turner Legal Association (“JLTLA”), is the African-American bar association in Dallas, Texas. JLTLA is also the Dallas affiliate of the National Bar Association. The J.L. Turner Legal Association Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization which exists and operates separately from JLTLA.
JLTLA is an organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life in our community through education, service and scholarship. The members of JLTLA provide scholarships to law students demonstrating financial or other needs, provide attorney mentors for law students, perform educational and other community outreach projects for North Texas area residents, and assist our members and the community to become more aware of African-American attorneys who practice in various areas of the law.

Jack and Jill of America, Inc., is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2 – 19, dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty.
The objectives of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated are to “create a medium of contact for children which will stimulate growth and development and provide children constructive educational, cultural, civic, health, recreational and social programs.” Since 1938, the organization continues on, dedicating its resources to improving the quality of life, particularly for all African-American children.
Founded in 1953, the Dallas Chapter is a phenomenal chapter where many of the mothers are leaders in their professions, communities and other organizations while balancing the joy of motherhood.
