Serving as a voice of LGBTQ+ lawyers and other legal professionals in the State of Washington on issues relating to diversity and equality in the legal profession, in the courts, and under the law, the organization has five purposes: - to provide opportunities for members of the LGBTQ+ legal community to meet in a supportive, professional atmosphere to exchange ideas and information; - to further the professional development of LGBTQ+ legal professionals and law students; - to educate the public, the legal profession, and the courts about legal issues of particular concern to the LGBTQ+ community; - to empower members of the LGBTQ+ community by improving access to the legal and judicial system and sponsoring education programs; - and to promote and encourage the advancement of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender attorneys in the legal profession. QLaw is a voluntary bar association for GLBT legal professionals and their friends.

Equal Rights Washington (ERW) is Washington's statewide lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) advocacy and community outreach organization. ERW's mission is to ensure and promote dignity, safety, and equality for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer Washingtonians. Equal Rights Washington consists of three organizations: Equal Rights Washington, a 501(c)(4) organization which focuses on political advocacy, ERW Education + Engagement, a 501(c)(3) organization which focuses on public education with regard to LGBTQ issues in Washington, and ERW Political Action, a registered political action committee which exists to provide support to equality-minded candidates for elected office in Washington state. Each of these subsidiary organizations are headed by independent boards of directors, in accordance and compliance with state and federal law. ERW was founded in 2004 to assist in the passage of Washington State's LGBT anti-discrimination bill, which for 28 years had been introduced in the state legislature, but never passed. In 2006, ERW played a crucial role in securing the passage of this legislation, Washington House Bill 2661, now known as the Anderson-Murray Anti-Discrimination law. ERW pivoted to become the lead organization in an early fight to have the Washington State Supreme Court recognize marriage rights for same-sex couples. In 2006, the Court decided not to grant those rights, touching off a movement that would change history.

Through education, advocacy, and celebration, Rainbow Center expands resources and safe space for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, two-spirit, and allied (LGBTQ2SA) community. For more than 20 years, Rainbow Center has served as a resource hub for the LGBTQ2SA community in South Puget Sound. Rainbow Center has daily open hours, where resources—including a lending library, computer and Wi-Fi access, advocacy services, and educational materials—are available to community members. Each year we provide direct services to 1,000 individuals, greet almost 4,000 visits at Rainbow Center, and touch the lives of thousands more through events and partnerships. Our Education Program offers high-quality workshops and training opportunities for individuals, businesses or groups that want to know more about how to engage, support, serve and increase their awareness/understanding of the LGBTQ2S community. Finally, celebrating the LGBTQ2S community is a huge part of our mission. We host social programs and events for the LGBTQ2S community all year. We are also proud to host the two most amazing celebrations in Tacoma/Pierce County — Tacoma Pride and our annual Black & White Gayla.
