Low-pressure, community-focused intermediate heritage-speaker circle with mini lessons! Free and open to any Vietnamese Heritage Speaker.
In collaboration with Nguyễn Huyến, we are delighted to invite you to a new speaker circle for intermediate-level heritage Vietnamese speakers! This is a free, low-pressure space created specifically for our community to connect, practice, and grow together.
Many Vietnamese Americans reach a point in their language journey where they can navigate daily "home" conversation but struggle to express complex ideas, understand formal nuances, or dive deep into cultural history. This conversation circle is designed to bridge that gap in a low-pressure, community-focused environment. The focus of the circle is conversation among participants, with brief mini-lessons incorporated to help participants continue developing their Vietnamese skills.
This circle is specifically curated for intermediate-level heritage speakers, perfect for those who have completed our Level 2 Vietnamese Language course or have a solid foundation from home. If you can hold a basic conversation but want to explore deeper cultural nuances and linguistic skills, we would love to have you.
This opportunity might be for you if:
You can understand the main ideas of most conversations
Introduce yourself and family in detail
Decode and pronounce most tone marks and letters correctly
