The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA, Inc.), is a nonprofit membership association dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for black professionals in the accounting, finance and related business professions. Representing more than 200,000 black professionals in these fields, NABA advances people, careers, and the mission by providing education, resources, and meaningful career connections to both professional and student members, fulfilling the principle of our motto: Lifting As We Climb.
The mission of the NABA Milwaukee is to address the professional needs of its members and to build leaders that shape the future of the accounting/finance profession as well as assist professionals in other business related professions. The chapter was founded in 1984.
Cream City Medical Society (CCMS) was named after the cream-colored bricks used to construct many of Milwaukee’s finest buildings. For the CCMS these bricks represent strength, beauty and the ability to weather many storms. The Cream City Medical Society was established in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1927.
The Cream City Medical Society is the first and only Milwaukee-based 501(c) (3) organization of African American physicians. It is a charter chapter of the National Medical Association, which is the nation’s oldest, and largest association representing African American physicians.
The Mission of the Cream City Medical Society is to eliminate minority health disparities. The organization strives to display a positive image of the underrepresented community's role in the healthcare field, and is committed to support and build a healthy, effective minority youth contingency that is dedicated to the healthcare profession.
Members of the Cream City Medical Society are dedicated doctoral level health care professionals including medical doctors, pharmacists, podiatrists and dentists as well as other areas of practice.
Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers is an association of African American Lawyers dedicated to ensuring diversity in Wisconsin's legal community.
The purpose of WAAL is to ensure the diversification of the legal community. To this end, WAAL hosts and sponsors continuing legal education seminars, networking events, and provides scholarships to African-American law students attending Marquette University Law School and the University of Wisconsin Law School.
WAAL is affiliated with the National Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin.
