My practice is focused on working with couples and with individual clients on anxiety, depression, phase of life issues, adjustment difficulties, self-esteem issues and stress management. I aim to cultivate a collaboration between client and counselor to create a positive, safe environment where change and healing can begin.
My view of the therapeutic journey is that the client is the expert of their own process being supportively guided by the counselor along the way. My main theoretical orientations are CBT, DBT and attachment theory.
I understand that life can be tough at times and making your initial therapy appointment can be the hardest step. Attorney Victor A. Garnice is a native New Yorker, he worked his way through Brooklyn Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree. He fulfilled his military commitment in the Air Force during the Vietnam War years. After passing the Arizona bar examination in 1976, he first served as a staff attorney for a major corporation. But he harbored a deep desire to help individuals and families. In 1979, he prevailed in hotly contested child custody litigation against overwhelming odds. Since then, he has handled family law matters almost exclusively. It is his passion, and he brings that passion to every case, whether in court filings, in the courtroom, or in negotiation.
