Norway has been represented by a consulate in San Francisco since 1906, and by a consulate general since 1938, all the while looking after the interests of Norwegian citizens and businesses in its area of jurisdiction.
The Consulate General in San Francisco provides consular services to Norwegian citizens in the following states:

The Norwegian Club is a non-profit, private organization established in 1898 and dedicated to promoting fellowship among the Norwegian-American community in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Norwegian Club was organized for the predominate purpose of providing for the furtherance and advancement of Norwegian culture and interests, to foster incidental social functions, and to carry on the high traditions and principles of Den Norske Klub Fram. The Club is non-sectarian and non-political. Dinners are held every Thursday evening except during the month of July and on special holidays.
