In this craft activity, we will be painting wooden eggs with designs inspired by the traditional Ukrainian Pysanky style, rather than using wax on real eggs. Pysanky is known for its intricate patterns and vibrant colors, symbolizing themes such as rebirth and protection.
During the activity, you will learn about the history of Pysanky and attempt to replicate its beautiful motifs on wooden eggs. Using paintbrushes and pens, you'll create stunning designs that reflect the detailed artistry of Pysanky without using wax. This is a craft activity for all ages!
This engaging activity encourages creativity and provides a wonderful opportunity for everyone to express their artistic flair while celebrating this rich cultural heritage! Participants will leave with their unique wooden eggs, perfect for decorating their homes or gifting to loved ones.

This is a FREE family festival in the park! You will be in joy with live performances throughout the day by local artists, singers, poets, and dancers and a live band in the evening.
In addition to performances throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to purchase meals from a diversity of food vendors and support local vendors seeking to offer culturally relevant products and services. Children will also have fun as they jump on the bouncy house, play games, and participate in arts and crafts in the Kids' Zone!
Wear some comfortable shoes, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and come spend the day with us in the park at Suwannee Town Center.
