The mission of Hellenic American Psychiatric Association is to provide a forum for psychiatrists of Greek origin or those who are Greek identified to share experiences, establish a network for scientific and social exchange, facilitate the professional development and professional aspirations of members, advocate for the psychiatric needs of Greek individuals, families and communities through education, research and professional organizational cooperation.
The New England Hellenic Medical and Dental Society is an organization of physicians, dentists, scientists, and allied health professionals who are either permanent residents or citizens of the United States. Its members either live in, or are enrolled in a medical, dental, or allied health degree or fellowship program, in the New England area.
The NEHMDS exists for charitable, educational, civic, and scientific purposes. It provides scholarships and professional mentoring to medical, dental, and allied health students. In addition, the Society provides a forum for its members to network and disseminate knowledge, serving to enhance the quality of healthcare being delivered. The NEHMDS promotes the scientific advancement of medicine and other health disciplines and fosters educational programs through the organization of meetings, forums, and conferences, as well as social events.
The NEHMDS was established in 1973 by a group of Greek physicians working in Boston. The goal of our society is to foster medical education, friendship, collaboration, communication, community awareness, and networking amongst professionals with common Hellenic ancestry and/or interests.
Founded in 1936 in Boston, the Hellenic Women’s Club, Inc., also known as Epsilon Omicron Kappa, promotes fellowship among its members and engages in numerous philanthropic endeavors. Limited to a membership of forty-five and meeting monthly, EOK is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization characterized by a close, hard-working group of uniquely dedicated women who offer their talents, energies and spirit to the mission of charity.
For more than eight decades, the Hellenic Women’s Club activities have embodied the values of selflessness and achievement for the benefit of others. Made possible through the generous and continued support of its patrons, the Club sponsors two major charitable events each year: the Mistletoe Ball in November and a benefit in the spring. These fundraisers enable the Hellenic Women’s Club to support a variety of worthy causes.
