Our region’s local CREW chapter, Triangle CREW, was founded in 1996. TCREW is made up of 220+ members employed in a wide variety of disciplines within the industry. The Capital City Lawyers Association (“CCLA”) is a local, inclusive, voluntary bar association comprised primarily of attorneys, judges, and elected officials of color in Wake County, NC.
Established in 1981 in Wake County, NC, the Capital City Lawyers Association (CCLA) continues to make an impact in the legal community. The CCLA mission is to improve the quality of life for the local citizenry, most particularly in underprivileged or under-represented communities through service, scholarship, and education. The Capital City Lawyers Association has grown tremendously and continues to connect with the community at large. In addition, CCLA provides a unique platform for professional development, continuing legal education, and networking.
CCLA formally organized in July of 2014, emerging as Capital City Lawyers Association, Inc. The organization continues to grow and effectuate change in the community. To accomplish its mission CCLA sponsors community service projects including building ramps for handicapped citizens, offering free legal clinics, providing scholarships to law school students, and political action events.

North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers was founded in 1954 by pioneers who were committed to advancing justice for Black people.
NCABL will actively engage in progressive political advocacy by seeking opportunities for activism concerning matters that affect our communities.
NCABL will partner with entities among constituencies, (including local Black Bar organizations) to effect change, taking advantage of existing structures and networks.
NCABL will engage in meaningful mentorship opportunities with fellow lawyers, law students, and also be visible within secondary schools across the state of North Carolina.
La Leche League International was formed in 1956, in Franklin Park, IL by a group of seven mothers who wanted to provide breastfeeding help and support to interested women. Two mothers were breastfeeding their children at a church picnic and many other women expressed interest, or told them how they had wanted to breastfeed but failed.
Our Mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

501(c) (4) of the Internal Revenue Code, and its purposes are as follows:
- To promote, encourage and facilitate meetings and association of people of
Polish ancestry and those who are interested in Polish heritage, traditions,
history, science and culture
- To initiate and maintain social programs which serve the Polish-American
community and to promote Poland in the Triangle area
- To increase knowledge about Poland among the Club’s members and the
general public
- To maintain the status of the Club as an independent organization
- To be financially independent and to sustain a stable financial base
Triangle Native American Society (TNAS) was founded in 1984 to promote and protect the identity of Native Americans living in Wake, Johnston, Durham, Orange, and Chatham counties by providing educational, social, and cultural programs. TNAS was incorporated as a non-profit tax-exempt organization in 1985, and was granted official state recognition in 2000 to serve as the official governing body for the Native American population in the Triangle area.
Since its inception, TNAS has endeavored to promote and protect the Native American identity in the Triangle area by increasing the public’s awareness of the cultural and economic contributions made by Native Americans and enhancing the public recognition of the needs of Native Americans.
The purpose of the TNAS is to act as the official governing urban Indian organization in the triangle community. Furthermore, the organization seeks to unite American Indians together bridging various unique culture and traditional blends while holistically attending to the needs of the Indian population residing in the community.
