Since its founding in 1981, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc. has served as a national leadership and advocacy forum dedicated to Black women and girls. The Greater Cleveland Chapter, headquartered in Beachwood, Ohio, carries forward this mission with deep community roots and commitment to systemic change. The organization's vision is clear: a world where socioeconomic inequity does not exist for Black women and girls. Operating from core values of gender equality, inclusion, respect, racial and social justice, integrity, accountability, economic empowerment, and collaboration, the Greater Cleveland Chapter builds sisterhood while striving for maximum community impact. Members serve as mentors and volunteers who understand that Black women cannot rely solely on crisis response; instead, they need pathways to authentic power and leadership. The organization recognizes that issues of health, education, and economic empowerment disproportionately impact women and children of color, and actively works to address these inequities. Through strategic alliances and civic engagement, the Greater Cleveland Chapter connects members with resources and opportunities for personal and professional growth. The organization's approach emphasizes developing the potential of its membership for effective participation in civic affairs while taking action on issues of national and international importance. By fostering equal rights and opportunities within Beachwood and beyond, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Greater Cleveland Chapter creates a supportive community where Black women can thrive and lead.
