Rooted in the mission of bridging opportunity gaps for Black professionals, the National Association of Black Accountants Columbus Chapter stands as a vital community organization dedicated to developing the next generation of business leaders in Columbus, OH. Willena C. Brooks
Dr. Willena Brooks was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Upon completion of high school, she was awarded a full academic scholarship to Norfolk State University (NSU) located in Norfolk, Virginia. It was at Norfolk State University that Dr. Brooks attained her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Dr. Brooks began her chiropractic studies at Life University, located in Marietta, Georgia, in 2000. Approximately two years into her studies, Dr. Brooks transferred to Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri. She received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan in 2004.
Rather than opening a traditional type of practice, Dr. Brooks desired to do something practically unheard of in the chiropractic profession. Rather than focusing on personal injury or family chiropractic, Dr. Brooks decided to dedicate her practice to helping women achieve optimal health & wellness. In early 2005, Dr. Brooks opened Mommy & Me Chiropractic, Ltd. in her hometown of Cincinnati. After a successful two and a half years in practice, Dr. Brooks relocated to Columbus, Ohio.
In February 2009, Dr. Brooks opened ChiroCare for Women, LLC. As with Mommy & Me Chiropractic, Ltd., through ChiroCare for Women, Dr. Brooks strives to help women achieve optimal health and wellness utilizing chiropractic care and other conservative care measures. Pregnancy related structural imbalances, low back pain, and headaches are all common conditions seen in our office.
Dr. Brooks has become well known due to the exclusiveness of her practice. ChiroCare for Women, LLC is the only chiropractic office dedicated exclusively to women. She is dedicated to helping women take an active role in their health and well-being. She has been an Ohio licensed Doctor of Chiropractic since 2005. She has completed many hours of continuing education classes in the areas of nutrition, wellness, and rehabilitation. Dr. Brooks is currently continuing her education to become a specialist in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.
True to her practice, Dr. Brooks also strives to live a wellness lifestyle. In her spare time, Dr. Brooks enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching documentaries. Dr. Brooks is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
