The Justinian Society of Philadelphia
Founded in 1935, the Justinian Society is a legal organization comprised of attorneys, judges and law students of Italian-ancestry. Located in Philadelphia, the Society's members celebrate generations of involvement within the legal community.
Justinian Society members are engaged in activities directed toward fostering a spirit of good fellowship, maintaining honor and dignity of the legal profession, performing civic duties, administering justice, and promoting the study of law. The Society promotes continuing education in law, supports the advancement of qualified and distinguished Justinians in public office, serves the Italian-American legal profession and the community, and strives to uphold a positive image and take action against negative stereotyping against Italian-Americans.
The Justinian Society is an educational, non-profit organization of lawyers whose ancestry is Italian. It is engaged in activities directed toward achieving its purposes which are:
1. To foster a spirit of good fellowship and mutual cooperation among its members;
2. To maintain the honor and dignity required of the legal profession;
3. To maintain a high standard of ethical conduct among its members and with other members of the bar;
4. To promote and encourage the more profound study of the law, the due administration of justice and reform in the law;
5. To coordinate their efforts in the discharge of their civil and professional responsibilities to the community.
In addition to being concerned with maintaining the highest standards of the legal profession, the Society seeks to support highly qualified Justinians for public office, including the judiciary.

The America-Italy Society’s mission is to promote, by educational, cultural and other means, international friendship between the Republic of Italy and the United States of America, based upon mutual understanding of their respective national ideals and aspirations and their respective contributions to progress in science, art, music, literature, law and government.
Founded in 1956, the America-Italy Society promotes a broader understanding of the Italian cultural and artistic heritage through a series of lectures, films, concerts, and language studies. It has several hundred members in the Philadelphia area who share a love for Italy by regularly participating in these programs.
