By 1995, Pittsburgh Women in Commercial Real Estate (PWCRE) was formed. The Board of Directors expanded the group to the national level, voting to become the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW Network). In October of 2002, Pittsburgh Women in Commercial Real Estate was officially voted into the national network and officially changed its name to Commercial Real Estate Women - Pittsburgh (CREW Pittsburgh). Today, CREW Pittsburgh members are empowered by sharing their knowledge and experience with others in our community while also learning from others' insight and know-how. That's why we focus our efforts on networking programs such as Connect With CREW and hold our signature annual events, including our Wine Dinner, Clay Shoot, Golf Outing, and Property Tour here in “The Burgh". The Women’s Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania (“WBA”) is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to promoting opportunities for women in the legal profession and equality in the courts. Our members include attorneys from Western Pennsylvania, including federal and state judges, as well as students from area law schools. The WBA was established in 1988 by a group of women attorneys in Allegheny County that were looking for an organization to address the unique needs of female practitioners and has served the Western Pennsylvania legal community for over 30 years. Since those humble beginnings, the organization has grown and continues its mission through several events and networking opportunities each year. The mission of Women’s Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania dedicates is to promote opportunities for women in the legal profession and strives to end gender bias in the courts and legal profession.

The Coalition of Labor Union Women is America's only national organization for union women. Formed in 1974, CLUW is a nonpartisan organization within the union movement. The primary purpose of (CLUW) is to unify all union women in a strong organization to determine and seek remedies to our common problems and concerns and to develop action programs within the framework of the labor movement to effectively promote our objectives. At its founding convention in Chicago, Illinois, CLUW adopted four core objectives: to empower women for greater participation at all levels in the labor movement; to organizing the unorganized; to promote affirmative action, social and economic justice in the workplace; and to increase the participation of women in the political and legislative processes. These goals continue to be the cornerstone of CLUW's activities as members speak out for equal pay, child and elder care benefits, job security, safe workplaces, affordable health care, contraceptive equity, and protection from sexual harassment and violence at work.

Women and Girls Foundation (WGF) is a non-profit organization based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania engaged in statewide programming and policy work. The mission of WGF is to achieve equality for women and girls, now and for generations to come. In pursuit of this mission, WGF breaks down barriers so that every girl can rise and every woman can soar. Our vision is for women and girls in Pennsylvania to have equal access, opportunity, and influence in all aspects of their public and private lives. We believe that when women and girls thrive, communities prosper.

Strong Women, Strong Girls champions the aspirations and potential of girls and women through a innovative mentorship program. In its first year, SWSG engaged just six college women and 30 elementary school girls. SWSG incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 2004 and expanded to Pittsburgh, PA, in 2006. Since that time, our elementary school girl program has grown rapidly at the request of schools, communities, parents, and college women to serve more than 1,250 girls every year. Our mission is to empower girls to imagine a broader future through a curriculum grounded on female role models delivered by college women mentors, who are themselves mentored by professional women. Our vision is that every girl and woman realize her inner strengths to dream and do.
