We are a network of successful REALTORS®, advancing women as professionals and leaders in business, the industry, and the communities we serve.
In the 1920’s, women were not allowed to be Members of the National Association of Real Estate Boards (predecessor to the National Association of REALTORS), and the Women’s Council of REALTORS was essentially formed out of necessity. Officially established in 1938, as the “Women’s Division” of the National Association of Real Estate Boards after leaders witnessed an exponential growth of women working in Real Estate and an increased participation of women at national conventions. Since its inception, now over 80 years ago, many dedicated Members have served as role models and achieved many “firsts” in the industry and in their communities, further strengthening the Council’s reputation as a National Organization that truly builds up influential business leaders within the industry.
Although formed out of exclusion, we don’t exclude anyone – in fact approximately 10% of our Members are male and we welcome EVERYONE regardless of gender to join us in such a positive movement of supporting our peers and helping rise up leaders on a local, state, and national level.
The sole purpose of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Greater Snohomish Network is to support the Network excellence in serving our Members + Strategic Partners and to develop strong leaders for the Council, the profession, and the community as well as support the Mission and Vision of the Women’s Council of REALTORS.
The Women's Council of REALTORS organization is a nationwide network of successful REALTORS, advancing women as business leaders in the industry and in the communities we serve. “When Women Are Present, Everything Changes!”. The Women's Council of REALTORS® is recognized as the voice for women in Real Estate, and the premier source for the development of leaders in the industry, organized real estate, and beyond.

What began in 1985 as an informal lunch among women involved in the commercial real estate industry has now grown into an organization of over 200 active members. Commercial Real Estate Women Northwest (CREW-Northwest) was officially formed as a Washington non-profit corporation in 1986. In January of 1990, Crew-Northwest joined the National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW Network), to provide greater exposure and networking possibilities for our members in the Pacific Northwest. In 2002, in order to more specifically describe our membership, CREW-Northwest officially changed its name to Commercial Real Estate Women Seattle, and is now also known as CREW Seattle.
The mission of AFWA is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession.

Aliya Alisheva knew from an early age what she wanted to do with her life. Born in the former Soviet Union in what is now Kazakhstan, a large landlocked nation in Central Asia that gained its independence in 1991, Aliya’s passion for law and justice led her to the legal profession. She attended Eurasian National University in Astana, the national capital and business epicenter of Kazakhstan, where she received a Law Degree in International Law. After graduation, Aliya traveled extensively and after concluding a trip to the United States, where she also acquired fluency in the English language, Aliya decided to further her education in the United States. Through a series of rigorous and highly competitive tests she became a prime candidate and eventual recipient of the prestigious Bolashak International Scholarship, awarded only to the best and brightest students in Kazakhstan. This accomplishment afforded Aliya the opportunity to earn her Masters of Law degree (L.L.M.) from University of California – Davis.
As an immigrant herself, Aliya has firsthand experience with immigration and truly understands the stress and frustration that comes with a process that can often be prolonged, circuitous and confusing. As the landscape of immigration law constantly changes with the passing of new legislation and the creation of new precedence through court rulings, it is vital for an attorney to stay informed. In order to achieve the best results for the client, the proper procedures and guidelines must be closely followed. Aliya understands these unique challenges while also sympathizing with the struggles of immigrants and their families. It is with the utmost compassion and dedication that Aliya assists immigrants and non-US citizens as they navigate through the immigration process.
Aliya is fluent in Russian and Kazakh. She is a member of the California State Bar and Washington State Bar Associations and is admitted to the Eastern Washington District Court. Aliya is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Alisheva Law is accredited through the Better Business Bureau and in 2014 received Avvo’s Client’s Choice Award in the field of immigration law.
