The Wisconsin State Division of the Polish American Congress is an active unit within the Polish American Congress (Kongres Polonii Amerykańskiej, KPA), which was founded in Buffalo, New York at the beginning of June, 1944 at a massive gathering attended by more than 2,500 delegates elected by Polish American organizations around the country. Over the past seven plus decades, the Wisconsin PAC has worked closely with all other Wisconsin Polish American organizations to unite Polish Americans in working to achieve the national Polish American Congress’ mission in support of a free and independent Poland, the material well being of its people, the promotion of civic awareness and action by Polish Americans, and the building of knowledge and appreciation of the rich Polish heritage in the United States.
The Polish Heritage Awareness Society of Central Wisconsin, Inc. is an organization dedicated to the education, promotion and preservation of the Polish American heritage. Located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, we have members all over the USA who once lived in the area or who can trace their ancestry back to Central Wisconsin.
Since the beginning of our society in 1992, we have been involved in educating the public about Polish heritage through programs and special events. We have been a part of the Portage County Cultural Festival and the Stevens Point Dozynki Harvest Festival since their inceptions. We have sponsored numerous talks and programs specific to Polish American genealogy.
The Polish Heritage Club (PHC) of Wisconsin, Inc. - Madison was founded in 1979 as a non for profit organization to encourage people of Polish heritage and any other interested persons to share knowledge about Poland, its culture, and the Polish-American experience among its members and the wider community; to enjoy social opportunities; and to foster a sense of community and cultural identity.
Understood to be the largest Polish heritage organization by membership in Wisconsin, we are driven by pride and are dedicated to the education, promotion and preservation of Polish heritage. The PHS of NEW was founded 28 years ago and continues to be a vibrant and growing non-profit organization today.

Since its founding in 1953, Polanki has been dedicated to promoting knowledge and appreciation of Polish culture among Milwaukee Poles and non-Poles alike. The College Achievement Awards competition, recognizing college and university students who have demonstrated superior academic ability, was instituted in 1970.
Among its varied activities, Polanki supports public lectures, exhibits and performances in the Milwaukee area. In 2004, Polanki paid for the restoration of a painting of Bishop Piotr Tomicki from the Franciscan monastery in Kraków, which traveled to Milwaukee as part of the Milwaukee Art Museum’s exhibition, “Leonardo da Vinci and the Splendor of Poland.”
Polanki members actively promote Polish culture by giving talks, workshops and demonstrations to schools and community organizations. For over 65 years the club has prepared the Polish cultural booth at the Holiday Folk Fair. Our members have also been responsible for designing and organizing the exhibits, speakers, artists and demonstrators at the Polish Fest Cultural Village.
Polanki supports efforts to preserve the legacy of early Polish settlers. A sizable donation helped to reconstruct the Kruza house, a Polish homestead from Hofa Park, Wisconsin, on the grounds of Old World Wisconsin. Polanki supported the renovation of St. Josaphat Basilica and led a successful fund-raising campaign to restore the Kościuszko monument in Kościuszko Park.
In 2000, Polanki endowed the building of a library at the Polish Center of Wisconsin. Polanki members staff and operate the library, which contains a variety of books and audio and visual media in Polish and English. Polanki has also contributed funds for local libraries to purchase Polish-related books and other resource materials.
Polanki regularly supports the efforts of other organizations to promote Polish culture. In 2005 we contributed a substantial amount to help purchase a Steinway grand piano for the Polish Center of Wisconsin. Polanki has co-sponsored concerts of the Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra featuring contemporary Polish composers and contributed to Wildspace Dance Company’s performances based on the Polish settlers of Jones Island. Most recently Polanki contributed to the restoration of stained glass windows at St. Josaphat Basilica.
Polanki’s membership has been growing over the last sixty-five years and the organization looks forward to a bright future as interest in Poland and awareness of its rich cultural tradition increases among Milwaukeeans of all ethnic backgrounds.
The Polish Center of Wisconsin is home to the Polish community and symbolizes our identity in the greater Milwaukee area. The Center is owned and operated by the Polish Heritage Alliance, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to preserving and promoting Polish heritage and culture.

PHA is the organization that oversees operations of the Polish Center of Wisconsin. The PHA also oversees, operations and management of the world's largest Polish festival- Polish Fest.
It's our responsibility to make sure that our children and the generations to follow, understand and appreciate the customs, traditions and heritage of their ancestors and everyone who has come before them. Without this historical awareness, Polish-Americans and those from other ethnic origins cannot possibly develop a full appreciation for the richness and diversity that is Poland's culture legacy.
Polish Fest represents a living example of the arts, culture and tradition that is uniquely Polish.
