Based in Roseville, Minnesota, the Minnesota Polish Medical Society serves as a vital community hub for Polish-American medical professionals and biomedical scientists across the Twin Cities region and beyond. Originally incorporated in 2018 as the Polish American Medical Society of Minnesota, our organization evolved to embrace a broader mission that celebrates Polish-American contributions to science, medicine, culture, and society. We are dedicated to shifting public perception of Polish Americans by showcasing their contemporary scientific advancements, historical significance, and cultural impact.
Our flagship initiative, the Kalejdoskop Polski Minnesota project, launched in 2020 to highlight the presence and diversity of Polish post-WWII immigrants in our state. This forward-facing program receives support from the Minnesota Historical Society, Metro Regional Arts Council, and Minnesota State Arts Board. We publish Minnesota Polish Perspectives magazine and host educational and cultural events in partnership with organizations including the University of St. Thomas, Landmark Center, East Side Freedom Library, and the Ramsey County Historical Society. Through strategic collaborations and high-quality programming, we connect the Polish-American diaspora in the Twin Cities with the global Polish community while fostering appreciation for Polish contributions to American society.
Since its founding, the Polish American Cultural Institute of Minnesota has served as a vital gathering place for the Polish-American community in Little Canada, MN and throughout the state. This member-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization welcomes everyone—from those with generations of Polish heritage to newcomers discovering the culture for the first time—creating an inclusive community where Polish traditions, language, and identity are preserved and celebrated.
PACIM's mission centers on promoting unique Polish experiences and perspectives to the broader Minnesota community while strengthening bonds between Poland and Minnesota. The organization believes that community strength comes from shared ideas, time, talents, and contributions from its members and volunteers. Through its various committees—including those focused on contemporary culture, Polish traditions, language classes, and cultural scholarships—PACIM creates meaningful connections and opportunities for cultural exchange.
The organization operates as an affiliate of the American Council for Polish Culture, a national network of Polish-American groups spanning the United States since 1948. At its heart, PACIM is a place where people can explore their heritage, learn the Polish language, attend cultural events and exhibits, access library resources, and build lasting friendships within a welcoming community. Whether you're seeking nostalgic connections to family traditions or eager to become part of a vibrant cultural movement, PACIM invites you to make it your home away from home.
