The Consulate General in New York has four dependent Honorary Consulates. They are offices managed by private citizens who assist the community in collaboration with the Consulate General by providing a number of administrative services.

The Connecticut Italian American Bar Association, Inc. (“CIABA”), founded in 1993, is the leading voice of Connecticut’s Italian American legal community. It is open to all attorneys and legal professionals of Italian descent, as well as to all those who share the organization’s goals and love of Italian culture. We strive to promote legal excellence and professionalism, to encourage camaraderie and fraternity among both the Italian American legal community and the Bar in general, and to preserve, promote, and advance our Italian heritage. The group is comprised of Officers, a Board of Directors, and a vibrant membership which includes practitioners from a wide and diverse range of legal specialties. CIABA is an official affiliate of the National Italian American Bar Association, and has also been designated by the Connecticut Bar Association as an “Affinity Bar,” which is a bar association that maintains the promotion of diversity in the legal profession as a primary goal.

The Greater Hartford Unico is the local affiliate of UNICO, the largest Italian-American service organization in the USA.
The Greater Hartford chapter of UNICO meets monthly and celebrates Italian culture and heritage. We do charitable work and also offer scholarships for eligible high school students. We also have an annual cultural dinner held in November.
