Guests will experience a guided historical tour alongside a curated Juneteenth art exhibition exploring the legacy of freedom, resilience, and Black history. Museum archivist Jason Fung and Director of Education, Dr. Michelle Tovar, will lead attendees through an engaging evening connecting the past to the present in one of Houston’s most vibrant cultural spaces.
This event is open to all UH alumni and guests. Parking is available onsite and in the surrounding areas near POST Houston. Come network, learn, and celebrate Juneteenth with fellow Coogs while supporting local history, art, and culture.

Program Description:
Vacation Bible School for Creatives is a bold, hands-on, faith-filled experience designed for young visionaries ages Adult16+ who are passionate about art, fashion, creativity, and purpose. This isn’t your typical VBS—this is a creative revival that blends biblical truth with practical design and artistic skill-building.
Across five immersive days, students will explore how to steward their creative gifts, reflect God’s design through their work, and build a strong spiritual foundation for purpose-driven living. Each day includes biblical teaching, real-time creative projects, collaborative sessions, and personal development moments—all designed to help students express their faith through fashion and art.
This program meets students right where they are, whether they're budding fashion designers, visionary artists, future entrepreneurs, or purpose-driven creators looking for clarity and confidence.
What to Expect:
Live teaching and mentorship from a fashion professor and faith-based creative leader
Daily Bible study & character focus featuring a male and female biblical creative
Hands-on design & art workshops (like wearable art, fashion sketching, and vision boarding)
Group collaboration, presentations, and peer encouragement
A final showcase where students will present their creations and purpose statements
